The likes of the one we honor today,
Rarely burst on the scenes---
With practiced eye and skillful hand-
Designed and built machines.
Could take the works of others,
And craft them to his will-
Or make brand-new--- where none would do-
His tests would prove his skill.
Left his mark in many fields-
That should have brought him fame-
Content to just have shown the way-
(Deserving-just the same)!
Husband-father-pal to all-
Record-breaker to the end-
Like so many I will boast-
Art Arfons was my friend!
